Ultra - 50 Mile Race (18 Weeks)

This is an ultra-marathon (50 mile) specific training schedule that is based on a standard amount of volume for an experienced runner looking to race the ultra-distance (50 mile). This schedule is for beginner to intermediate ultra-runners who are coming into the plan with consistent running already, and may have completed an ultra-marathon (50 mile) previously, or are looking to debut at the distance. This schedule starts at 44 miles per week and peaks at 76 miles, by running up to six days a week. Written by ultra-marathon champion and experienced coach Duncan Callahan (2 x winner of the Leadville 100), this plan is sure to get you to the start line ready to reach your goal.
