NCAA
Evan competed at Indiana University for his collegiate career. He was a three-time competitor at the NCAA Cross Country championships, and as a junior, lead the Hoosiers to an eighth-place national finish.
Professional Career
Since graduating from Indiana University, Evan has won a national title in the 10,000m, and represented Canada at the 2017 World Cross Country Championships. Being new to the roads, Evan has seen some immediate success. Evan recently won his first national title on the roads in the 10k, and represented Canada at the 2018 World Half Marathon Championships.

Run - Workout (long run)
14k easy, 5k tempo/p-u, 2k easy, 5k tempo/p-u, 2k easy, 8k tempo/p-u, 1k easy @ Fort Langley country roads in Zoom Flys

Good workout; really solid and one of the best ones of the build; felt smooth and in control, and was able to finish faster and stay composed; a good confidence booster, and more work to be done; fuelling - every 5k alternating (167mL) Maurten320/160 (120g total ~ 60g/hour).

Felt pretty bad today and was hard to get through the last 6 miles - took a Maurten gel (25g) at 12 miles, felt dehydrated and low energy. Need to eat more and drink more especially after a big workout like yesterday

Good tempo, longest straight tempo of my life. 3 x Palmer. I messed up and ran past pipeline on the second loop, which turned out to be an extra .28 of a mile (1’28”) - just zoned out and was not paying attention / looking for the turn. Tempo felt pretty good all around, and got more difficult with 3 miles left, and I really had to concentrate on trying to run pace; fuelling - full Maurten320 (80g carbs) from right after warmup before tempo, to the end of the tempo + Maurten gel (25g carb) at half-way
