Run - Long-run

Post Workout Blog:
Drove out with a few of the post-collegiate guys to Fergus for long run. Tried / wanted to go run the trans-Canada trail-way along Grand River & Bellwood lake, but was really icy. Ended up running straight north along a road and came across a really nice dirt road out there. Nice run.

Run - Workout
45' tempo, 10' jog rest, 20' tempo

Post Workout Blog:
My legs are about to fall off I swear. I'm not sure if I've been that tired at the end of a workout. That was a big one. 35' warmup, and 19 miles total. Definitely would have liked to run faster, but that's what it's all about. How well can you manage the workouts where you're not on your game. A workout like this is going to have me really strong in Spain, and hard to beat when it gets difficult in races on the track. I'm happy with how I dealt with an off-feeling day. Time to take a fat nap.

Run - Workout
2 x (2 x 9' cruise tempo + 5' VO2) - 2' jog rest between 9's, 3' before 5', and 5' jog rest between sets

Post Workout Blog:
Solid workout. 46' of work, which is good. Did first set with Reid, then he picked it up and I stayed at same pace. I fell off pace a bit for the last 5' VO2, but the effort was there. 5:00/mile (3:06/k) avg for workout. Pace will quicken as I get stronger over the next month.

Run - Long run

Post Workout Blog:
Long run with Jacob. One of the longest long runs of my life, which wasn't really on purpose. We got a little carried away exploring the west side of Guelph (we don't get to run over there very much). Misjudged the distance a little, but overall a nice run, and a pretty solid pace too. One of the better runs I've had in a while. Good cap off to the week.

Felt very tired and sluggish. Had a big mileage week which my body will start to get used to. Just one of those days - but overall, got through the workout and dealt with how I felt appropriately, and got some quality work in.

Post Workout Blog:
Beautiful run! Finally sunny outside, and temp of 3°C which felt real nice. The snow is melting away.
I ran this run on the quicker side because I felt like it. I haven't had a workout since Sunday so my body is feeling better than it has been - a little more rested, which is good because I'm likely to have a pretty big workout on the roads tomorrow morning
